Jacou remembers her first attempts with modelling clay when she was 4. But it took many more years of wandering before she got back to her heartfelt passion, to be a potter.

In New Zealand  since 1992, she learnt and explored this medium in Wanaka, in a self taught manner. The clay flutes were a start, but the hypnotism of the wheel got soon hold of her.

She likes bright colors, and speckle effects, and is really glad to be able to transfer her spiritual outlook of the world onto her work by the magic of words.

Music, which has always been a great inspiration in her life, finds also its way onto the clay.

Wanaka is now her home and the mountains around Wanaka continue to inspire her pottery
